Looking for something fun to do outside of the theme parks for Halloween in Orlando? Look no further! Here is a list of events happening all around the Central Florida area in October 2023 during the Halloween season.
A Petrified Forest- Running on select dates until October 28th, A Petrified Forest located in Altamonte Springs (about 20 minutes North of Downtown Orlando), will take place. It is an annual nighttime pop up attraction with two outdoor scare trails venturing through a haunted forest filled with terrifying beings for groups of six or less. This event is rated PG-13 but there is a Kid's Day on October 14th for guests under 12.
Screamin' Green Hauntoween at Crayola Experience- Located at the Florida Mall, the Crayola Experience will host Screamin' Green Hauntoween until Halloween, October 31st. Included with admission, you can enjoy a themed scavenger hunt, spook-tastic crafts, character photo ops, and every weekend trick-or-treating will be offered as well as a DJ dance party from 12pm-4pm. Kids are welcome to dress-up and there is an additional fee for pumpkin painting and slime class.
Happy Frights at Harry P. Leu Gardens- Orlando's Leu Gardens will be hosting Happy Frights until Halloween, October 31st, on select dates. It is a family-friendly Halloween event with food, live characters, trick-or-treating, a dancing bridge-troll, walkthrough garden of sunflowers, neon-light maze, and a giant hay-pyramid.
Vampirates: When the Blood Moon Rises- Pirates Dinner Adventure will host Vampirates: When the Blood Moon Rises on select dates until October 31st, Halloween, at 7:30pm. It is a Halloween-themed dinner show for all ages with a Trick R Treat Trail and the whole family is encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes. It is a 90 minute long show with a three course meal served throughout the show.
Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins- Gatorland's Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins event returns for the 5th year on select days until October 28th and is included with park admission. Swamp Ghost's Monster Museum features an all-new exhibit this year as well as new haunt-zones including The Creepy Creature Carnival and The Frightful Frontier. There will also be interactive characters, animal meet and greets, fun shows, a children's Halloween costume parade with treat bags for all kids who participate, specialty vendors, games and candy giveaways.
