Here are a few of the local Halloween events that are happening this year!

Scream n' Stream- A premier 25-minute drive-thru haunted attraction at the Oviedo Mall on select nights beginning on September 17th through October 31st. A secret research facility, known as "Station 5", has a team of scientists working to weaponize clowns and zombies. Guests are tasked with delivering a kill switch to stop the creatures and the passengers in the car are armed with laser guns to keep their driver safe.

Prices range from $64-$75 per vehicle depending on the chosen date (max 8 passengers per vehicle).

12th Annual Dia de Los Muertos & Monster Party- A themed exhibition and an outdoor experience with live performances and spooky art vendors at CityArts Orlando on October 21st. It will showcase Day of the Dead and Halloween-inspired art created by different artists and will feature food, drinks, and entertainment.

This event takes place from 5:30-11 p.m. $5 admission per person and $40 per person for the dining experience.

The Haunted Road- One of the last remaining haunted roads in Central Florida, this seasonal drive-thru experience has a theme this year of paranormal phenomena and eerie occurrences with frequent ghost sightings ahead.

Located on Lake Pickett Road in Orlando on select nights from September 30th through November 8th.

A Petrified Forest- Located in Altamonte Springs, this nighttime pop-up attraction features two outdoor scare trails where groups of six or less can venture through a haunted forest and takes place from October 1st through October 30th.

This event is rated PG-13 but a Kid's Day is available on October 9th and a Special Needs Night on October 13th.

Spooky Empire- The nation's largest horror convention at the Hyatt Regency on International Drive will take place from October 22nd through the 24th. It will feature celebrity autographs, a film and tattoo festival, an exhibitor room, photo ops, a kid's zone, costume contest, seminars, and live entertainment.

Fright Night Movie- October 22nd at 7:30 pm at Harry P. Leu Gardens, you can see A Quiet Place Part II outdoors.

Kid-Friendly

Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins- For the third year in a row, Gatorland is hosting an all-ages, daytime, family-friendly event on weekends from October 9th through October 31st and is included with your park admission.

"The Crocs and Cryptids Zone" will let you search for hidden cryptozoological beasts and you might even find a Skunk Ape. Frank & Stein's Ooky Kooky Octoberfest will feature live music, an undead polka band as well as German beer and food will be available for purchase. "Swamp Ghost's Monster Museum" is where you can learn the origins of the world's most infamous monsters and enter Swamp Ghost's liar to come face to face with a ghoul. Multiple themed haunt zones, interactive characters, animal meet and greets, and a children's Halloween costume parade with treats bags for all the kids who participate will also take place. Guests are welcome to wear costumes and have the opportunity to play games, watch amusing shows and win candy.

Halloween Lights at Jeater Bend- This street in the town of Celebration creates a free light spectacular during the Fall season with singing pumpkins as a new addition this year. You can drive through but for a much better experience, we suggest parking on Celebration Avenue and walking along with the displays. The lights will run from October 16th through the 31st.

Trick or Treat at the Museum of Illusions- Every Wednesday in October from 5-8 pm at ICON Park, complimentary candy treats and reimaged Halloween-themed exhibits will take place to celebrate Halloween.

Screamin' Green Hauntoween at the Crayola Experience- Located at the Florida Mall and included with your general admission, this event will run from September 25th through October 31st. Guests are welcome to dress up and enjoy trick-or-treating on the weekends as well as themed crafts. New this year, you can join the crayon crew on a quest to discover rare, Halloween colors and meet monster-ific characters. You will journey into an ancient Pharaoh's tomb, a spooktacular forest, and mine for galactic colors.

Halloween Movie at Lake Eola Park: Beetlejuice- This free family-friendly event will take place on October 30th from 7-9 pm in Downtown Orlando. Don't forget to bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks for the whole family.

Florida Hallo-wiener Dog Derby- On Saturday, October 16th at Fun Spot America at 11 am, come watch a wiener dog race that includes a costume contest, hot dog dunk, and toilet paper wrap for free.

Santa's Fall Fun- Less than an hour away from Orlando, the town of Eustis hosts a pumpkin patch starting on the last weekend of September through Halloween. It includes activities for the whole family such as a magical maze, horse/pony rides, hayrides, and a play area. On October 30th-31st, trick-or-treat stations will be set up throughout the farm and you are encouraged to wear a family-friendly costume. Food and drink options will also be available for purchase. Parking is free.
