Ribs on the Ridge- On February 19th from 5-9 pm in Haines City, enjoy a free endless BBQ event with live music and arts and craft vendors. One of Florida's BBQ Association's larger competitions where top-level postmasters from all over the southeast will compete for cash prizes, trophies, and bragging rights. For the 13th year, the Haines City Leisure Services Department will host this event at Lake Eva Park.
Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest- Royal Palm Pointe Park in Vero Beach on February 19th will host the Best Vero Beach Wings competition, just an hour and a half away from the Reunion and Encore Resort Area. Over 250 craft beers are available from IPA's to lagers. Fried, smoked, grilled, sauced, or spiced, an ever-growing number of vendors will have some amazing wings to try all competing for the top prize. 2 stages and 4 bands are the live music aspect of this festival with a family-friendly atmosphere. Proceeds benefit the charitable projects of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach Sunrise.
Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival- Over 40 bourbons and 60 beers along with a mouth-watering array of BBQ will be offered on February 19th at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa Bay, only an hour drive from the Reunion and Encore Resort area. The 8th annual festival gives each guest a souvenir glass to enjoy all you care to taste beer and bourbon samplings. The BBQ selection includes pulled pork from whole hogs, brisket, ribs, chicken, and sausage. The tasting theater offers seminars with master distillers, pitmasters, and brewmasters from the deep south. The Cochon carnival has fun games and activities including giant Jenga, cornhole, and connect four. The main stage offers live rock and blues music as well as a DJ in the VIP area. Exhibits of brewerania, BBQ accessories, hot sauces, and cigars will also be available for purchase.
